The heart and soul of a startup belongs to its people. No one embodies this more than the Founder of a company. We seek out and pursue exceptional founding teams. Often a combination of technical skills with business acumen. Strong leadership. An insatiable appetite to succeed paired with a willingness to learn and grow. We seek long-term partnership, not shotgun arrangements.
There are many important and interesting challenges to solve in frontier tech. We reserve our investments for founders pursuing the largest and most important ones in their respective sectors. Critically, these also must solve an urgent, pressing challenge for customers.
We do not invest in startups with deep R&D cycles or ones considered science experiments. We assess the product roadmap under the time and capital constraints of each financing round, and ensure customers exist with capacity to acquire their technology in short order.
